Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what data Yotsu ("the Bot") collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data. We are committed to handling your information responsibly and only using it to operate the Bot's features.

2. Data We Collect

To function, the Bot stores the following data in a private SQLite database operated by the Bot's developer:

  • Discord User IDs — used to associate economy balances, game progress, inventory, pets, and other per-user state with your account
  • Discord Guild (Server) IDs — used to store per-server configuration, moderation settings, and shared economy data
  • Discord Role and Channel IDs — stored as part of server configuration (e.g., moderation log channels, role reward mappings)
  • Economy & Game Data — wallet balances, bank balances, inventory items, crafting history, pet stats, level/XP, job assignments, transaction logs, and exploration/world state
  • Moderation Records — warn/ban/mute logs tied to user IDs and guild IDs, as created by server moderators

We do not collect usernames, email addresses, message content (beyond what is needed to process a command), or any information outside of what Discord's API provides during normal bot operation.

3. How We Use Your Data

All collected data is used exclusively to operate the Bot's features. Specifically:

  • Economy and game data is used to maintain your progress and provide a persistent experience across sessions
  • Server configuration data is used to apply your server's moderation and feature settings
  • Moderation records are used to track infractions and enforce server rules as configured by server administrators

Your data is never used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to operating the Bot.

4. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored in a SQLite database on a private server controlled by the Bot's developer. Access to the database is restricted to the Bot's runtime process and the developer for maintenance purposes. We take reasonable measures to protect the database from unauthorized access.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share your data with third parties. Data is not shared with anyone outside the Bot's developer team.

6. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as you or your server continue to use the Bot. Server data (configuration, economy state) may be deleted if the Bot is removed from a server and the data is no longer needed. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 7).

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access — request a summary of what data we hold about your Discord user ID
  • Deletion — request that your personal data (economy progress, moderation records, etc.) be deleted from the database

To exercise these rights, contact the developer through the Bot's support server or Discord. Requests will be processed within a reasonable timeframe. Note that deleting your data is irreversible and will reset your economy progress and game state.

8. Third-Party Services

The Bot operates within Discord's platform. Discord's own Privacy Policy governs data that Discord collects. We have no control over Discord's data practices.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Bot after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
